The educational qualification for NIFT admissions varies from course to course:

There are a total of 19 NIFTs in India that participate in the NIFT admission process. The participating institutes offer B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M courses. Admission to the participating institutes will be on the basis of NIFT scores. NIFT Varanasi is the newly added college to the list of NIFT participating colleges.

No, NIFT 2025 entrance exam is over at this point of time. Saintgits Design School BDes course admissions also accept different entrance exam scores aswell. Candidates can find all the accepted entrance exams for BDes admissions on the official website. If candidates have appeared for any of them, candidates can apply for admission through those.

If you belong to the General category under the AI quota, admission to the Master of Fashion Management (MFM) course at NIFT Shilong is not possible with a cutoff rank of 800. In 2025, the maximum cutoff required was 532 till Round 3 for MFM admission among the students belonging to the General AI quota. However, a cutoff rank of 800 is a decent rank to get admission to the MFM course for students other than those in the general category. Refer to the table below to view the NIFT Shillong category-wise cutoff 2025 for Round 3.
