NIT Agartala provides good placements to BTech CSE students. According to external sources, BTech placement rate in 2025 was 80%. Earlier, in 2024, a total of 839 offers were made to 753 eligible students.

For most students, NIT Agartala's Electrical Engineering (EE) programme is likely the better choice over NIT Mizoram's Computer Science Engineering (CSE). As per the round 1 cutoff ranks for NIMCET for the previous three years, 350 is a decent ran. In 2025, the round 1 cutoff for the OBC AI category students was 826. In 2024 and 2023, the cutoff closed at 939 and 675, respectively. Based on trend for the past three years, 350 is good score.

NIT Agartala NIMCET cutoff 2025 has been released, wherein the closing rank stood at 729 for admission to the MCA programme. This is for the General AI quota. For the OBC category candidates, the closing cutoff in round 1 was 826. In the table below, students can view the NIMCET round 1 cutoff for the General AI category over the past three years:

The category rank for sc to get admission to NIT Agartala in CSE varies from the home based students and other states students. As if you are the resident of Tripura then you can get admission at the rank under 8000 but if you are outside resident of Tripura then you must have rank under 3300.

To get admission to NIT Agartala, student must attain the rank as per the category-wise cutoff list. For candidates belonging to the General AI category, the closing ranks in third round were between 20541 and 58197. Therefore, for General AI category candidates, the rank in JEE Advanced must be below 58197.
For General Home State quota, rank of below 317100 is required.

As per the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 19064 in the first round to 127501 in the last round. So yes, it is possible to gain admission to the NIT Agartala for the General AI category. NIT Agartala cutoff 2025 has been released for the round 1. The cutoff has been released for admission to BTech, Integrated BTech and Integrated MS course, on the basis of JEE Main scores. The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to the All India and Home State quotas. Among the General AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks varied between 19064 and 52233. The most desired specialisation among the General AI category candidates was BTech in CSE.
