Yes mathematics is compulsory at NIT Agartala. If you want to go to NITs you need to qualify JEE Mains and maths is a compulsory subject for this.

NIT Agartala admission to the MSc course is based on IIT JAM scores, followed by the CCMN counselling process. CCMN stands for Centralized Common Counselling for MSc and MSc (Tech) admissions at NITs and CFTIs. NIT Agartala CCMN cutoff 2025 has been announced across multiple specialisations, wherein the closing ranks varied between 1090 and 1640 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. NIT Agartala is a government college. It is established in 1965. It is ranked 91 according to NIRF ranking 2023. It offers several Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Certificate programmes in various courses such as MBA, BTECH, B.Sc, etc. The admission to the college are solely based om the entrance examination. According to the NIRF Report 2023, NIT Agartala has been ranked 91 for the Engineering category whereas NIT Patna has been ranked 56. Similarly, as per the latest statistics of placement data, the average package offered during the NIT Agartala placement 2022 is INR 7 LPA whereas during the NIT Patna placement 2022, the average package offered was INR 14 LPA.
