Yes, NIT Jalandhar does offer an MBA course for two years and is offered in full-time mode. Additionally, this course is offered by the Department of management and Humanities. Admission to the NIT Jalandhar MBA course is subject to the scores secured in the entrance examination scores. The chosen applicants must also pass rounds of personal interviews and group discussions. Furthermore, a one-year PGDM course in Humanities and Management is available at NIT Jalandhar.

Jalandhar NIT is ranked 58th by NIRF 2024 under the Engineering category. Jalandhar NIT is also ranked 204 by the QS Rankings 2024 under the Asian University Rankings - Southern Asia category and 651-700 under the Asian University Rankings category. NIT Jalandhar arranges various fests and events for students. Recently, the NIT Jalandhar arranged the annual cultural fest “UTKANSH”. A lot of students belonging to various countries and states take part in this fest. Another popular fest arranged by the college is the Bharat Dhawani -Annual Foundation Day. Bharat Dhawani is the techno-managerial student fest of Jalandhar NIT. Every year, the college arranges fests including Techniti (Annual Technical Fest), Annual Athletic Fest, and others.

Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar students feel safe inside the campus as there are CCTV cameras installed everywhere on the campus. At every exit and entry point, there are security staff available who restrict the entry of anyone who does not have an entry card or prior permission.

NIT Jalandhar desires 100% attendance. Exception can be provided to students on account of late registration, sickness, or other such contingencies. To appear in exams, 75% of attendance is needed. A student with less than 75% of attendance in a programme during a semester will be awarded a ‘W’ Grade in that programme irrespective of his/her performance in the exams/tests.

In terms of placements, the institute has recorded a good placement percentage with 86.31% of BTech batch placed in 2024. The placement rate for M.Tech has not been released.
