The closing ranks have ranged between 19,562 (2022) and 29,725 (2024) based on the past years cutoffs of the SC Home State Female candidates of NIT Puducherry cutoffs at CSE. Getting into NIT Puducherry with a rank of 6 Lacs seems unlikely. The previous year's closing ranks were:

With a 6 lakh rank, getting into NIT Puducherry is pretty much not possible, even in the last rounds. Their closing ranks are way higher, even for less popular branches. Unless you have a strong category rank or special quota, chances are next to none.

NIT Puducherry admission is mainly entrance-based. The university offers undergraduate to postgraduate and doctorate levels programmes in Engineering, Technology, Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences. Admissions to NIT Puducherry BTech is based on marks secured by the candidate in JEE Mains and for M.Tech admission, candidates have to appear for GATE.
