NIT Raipur offers a BArch programme that lasts for five full years. The course is divided into ten semesters, covering everything from design to structures. The first few years focus on the basics of building and creative arts. Your final year involves a major thesis project and professional training.

NIT Raipur offers BTech course to students at the UG level. It is offered for 4 years in several specialisations. To be eligible for BTech at NIT Raipur, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the college. Candidates must be Class 12 passed with a minimum 75% aggregate.

NIT Raipur MTeach cutoff 2025 has been released for various specialisations, rounds and categories. This year, in 2025, the M.Tech cutoff 2025 ranged from 354 to 590 for candidates belonging to the General category, All India quota, wherein M.Tech in Energy and Environment proved to be the toughest, and on the other hand, M.Tech. in Power System and Control, the easiest, according to the lowest last round score. The competition for M.Tech in Energy and Environment has significantly increased since last year because in 2024, the last round cutoff was 355. The total tuition fee for the BTech course at NIT Raipur and NIR Srinagar is INR 5 lakh. Therefore, none of the college can be compared on the affordability of BTech courses. This fee mentioned here is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is, however, subject to changes and hence is indicative.

Currently, the M.Tech cutoff of the latest closing rank for admission to the 2025 batch at NIT Andhra Pradesh has been released. Moreover, the closing ranks for all the specialisations is released. For a better overview, check out the below table:

The 2025 ranking for the BTech course/ engineering category at NIT Raipur has not been released yet. However, the course has been ranked by NIRF for the academic years 2022, 2023 and 2024. Check out the ranking assigned to 'Engineering Category' in different academic years from the table below:

NITs are well-known for their BTech courses and placements; the overall the highest package offered during NIT Raipur placements 2024 stood at INR 62 LPA. Further, the average package offered during BTech placements 2024 for CSE, ECE, Electrical, Chemical, and Civil departments stood at INR 14.61 LPA, INR 12.29 LPA, INR 10.09 LPA, INR 9.8 LPA, and INR 8.9 LPA, respectively. According to NIT Raipur NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during BTech placements 2023 stood at INR 9.5 LPA, respectively.

The tuition fee for MCA courses at NIT Raipur is INR 2.1 Lacs and the tuition fee for MCA at NIT Patna is INR 2 lakh. Conclusively, the tuition fees of both the NITs are more or less similar. Hence, candidates who prefer affordable college can get admission to any of the institutes. However, the fee structure can be only one component that candidates consider while comparing IIITs and NITs but several factors can be taken into account while choosing the best college, such as placement packages, seats, ranking of that particular institute, affiliation, accreditation, etc.

The National Institute of Technology Raipur admits students to the MSc course on the basis of valid IIT JAM scores. Based on the entrance test scores, candidates are then called for the CCMN (Centralised Counselling) process for admission to the MSc course.
