For Admission into DoMS NIT Trichy Candidates should have 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% for OC/OBC and 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in case of SC/ST candidates in the qualifying degree. For PWD candidates, the eligibility criterion will apply to the category they belong to (OC/OBC/SC/ST). The expected cut-off range may be reduced sometimes based on the number of applicants, but we are not sure about that. NIT, Trichy has been ranked one among the NITs for a while now whereas NIT, Surathkal is said to be in top 3 but its position keeps on fluctuating. If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11th while NIT, Warangal stands at 22nd rank. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar. You may get admission in all the mentioned institutes but chances for NIT-Trichy and NIT-Surathkal are somewhat higher than DTU.
