It is not true. DoMS had some placement issues two years back when the economy was down when around 20% of the students did'nt get placed. Last year, the statistics improved and only 2 students didnt get placed. This year the placements are going strong and around 70% have already been placed .

You will have to prepare physics, chemistry and maths with a good understanding of concepts and focus on problem solving in all the concepts involved in such. Continuous practice and exposure to problems will help crack the exams.
