The placement rate for BTech and MBA courses has declined over the past three years. On the other hand, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the MCA and M.Tech placement rates. Take a look at the table below depicting the NIT Trichy placement trends for different courses:

The 2024 median salary is not available as of now. Earlier, the median package offered to MBA batch 2023 was INR 8.70 LPA. Looking at the past three years stats (2021 to 2023), an improving trend was recorded in the NIT Trichy MBA median package, which is depicted below:

According to the NIT Trichy, annual report 2024, the overall placement rate stood at 85%. Over 1300 students have been placed so far. The MSc students were offered packages upto INR 27 LPA. Meanwhile, the NIRF reports have been out for 2023 on the offiicial website. So as per NIRF 2023 reports, the NIT Trichy placements recorded a median package of INR 15.76 LPA offered to its BTech graduates.

The CSE branch recorded the highest placement rate during BTech placements 2024. Looking at the past three years' statistics, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the placement rate of almost all the BTech branches, except MME which recorded a declining trend. NIT Trichy is ranked 73 by the QS Asian University Rankings, while NIT Jalandhar is ranked 204 by the QS Asian University Rankings 2024.
Compared to NIT Trichy (INR 1.4 lakh), NIT Jalandhar (INR 2.2 lakh) charges a relatively higher tuition fee for the MBA programme. IIT Dhanbad offers a four-year BTech degree course in Computer Science & Engineering. Admission to the four-year course is entrance-based. It is also one of the top BTech branches. As per the IIT ISM Dhanbad's past years records, almost 100% of students from the CSE department get placed.Ranking: IITs have a higher ranking and reputation among the engineering colleges in India and the world. Seven IITs are in the top 10 of the NIRF 2020 ranking, while NIT Trichy is ranked 9th among the engineering colleges and 1st among the NITs.

NIT Trichy offers various specialisations under its MTech programme. Some of the specialisations are Mtech in Data Analytics, Environmental Engineering, and more. For all the specialisations, the institute offers an equal number of seats, i.e., 28. Combining all, the institute offers 658 seats for the MTech programme.

As per the NIT Trichy NIRF report 2024, the 2023 median package for MTech courses stood at INR 10 LPA. Other than this, as sources across the web, the highest package offered during placement drive 2023 stood at INR 52.89 LPA. Some of the renowned companies that were part of NIT Trichy placements in recent years included Google, Facebook, Infosys, Oracle.
