You need to have 20,000 -25,000 minimum rank to apply to any NIT.

CAT is for 360. You will be having negative marks for wrong attempts. So, you need to have accuracy. Apart from that if you could get around 160-180 in total, you can get a good percentile. Having sectional score is also very important. So, it is important that you need to concentrate on all the three sections equally while preparing. Time is a major constraint while giving CAT, so if you are practicing more it will help you a lot.

Our criteria is minimum of 60% in Bachelors degree. So I am very sorry to say that you can't get admission.

With your marks, there is a possibility of admission in one of the NITs you being from OBC quota. But Trichy looks tough. You may get admission in some other NIT.
