The admission to all the BTech programs in NITs is done through JEE Mains only. Therefore, you will have to appear in Maths paper to claer JEE. You will have to take Maths as sixth subject with your 12th class board or Maths as additional subject after 12th board.

NIT, Warangal doesn't accept ICET score. You should appear for MAT, CAT, CMAT or XAT exam to get admission in the same.

Quite well if planning for RESEARCH. I would rather say its the best field if one wishes to go for higher studies. B.tech at NIT-W would definitely help you build a firm base for further studies. Coming to the Placements, recently, the number of companies visiting the campus are quite considerable. Most of the students sitting for campus interviews are placed. But the scales are not that high for B.tech Biotech graduates as they are for graduates of other fields. Make a wise choice that would serve your expectations well. Best wishes :)

Scope depends on your academic performance and interest, NOT on your gender! As far as the field is concerned,Biotechnology is an upcoming field having a promising future. But it demands your patience and a lot of interest as it is a research oriented field. You cant expect a fat salary just after completion of your B.tech in Biotechnology. Higher studies abroad as well as in India would widen your chances for satisfactory job in this field.Long years of studies though.

If you are planning to go for higher studies in Biotechnology, then your choice is definitely the BEST. It has a world wide recognition and also provide scholarships like EUPHRATES and HERITAGE through which you can go abroad for a year during your B.tech course. It has an excellent teaching staff who are quite friendly and helpful compared to other department faculties. But, if you plan to have a Rs.12 Lpa job immediately after B.tech then your expectations would not be served well. Overall its a great and cool stream and you would really enjoy doing Biotechnology at NIT-W. Best Wishes.
