Yes, GRE general exam is required at North Carolina state University, however it is mostly required for all graduate international applicants, who are residing in and outside the US. The GRE exam is an exception for PhD or domestic master’s applicants. The GRE score is valid for five years after the test date, and if expired then the score will not be accepted. The average submitted scores by students recently admitted to the university graduate programme are as follows:
Verbal Reasoning: 60%
Quantitative Reasoning: 87%
Analytical Reasoning: 49%

Applicants must meet the minimum English requirements. The TOEFL iBT, TOEFL iBT special Homes Edition, and IELTS academic tests require a minimum overall score of 80.
