Yes, GRE general exam is required at North Carolina state University, however it is mostly required for all graduate international applicants, who are residing in and outside the US. The GRE exam is an exception for PhD or domestic master’s applicants. The GRE score is valid for five years after the test date, and if expired then the score will not be accepted. The average submitted scores by students recently admitted to the university graduate programme are as follows:
Verbal Reasoning: 60%
Quantitative Reasoning: 87%
Analytical Reasoning: 49%

Applicants must meet the minimum English requirements. The TOEFL iBT, TOEFL iBT special Homes Edition, and IELTS academic tests require a minimum overall score of 80. Additionally, a minimum sub-score of 18 is needed in each section of the TOEFL test, while IELTS requires a minimum sub-score of 6.0.For Conditional admission, the minimum overall score drops to 50 for all TOEFL tests and IELTS, while the Dulingo English Test (DET) requires a minimum score of 85. As of Spring 2023, GRE scores are not required for this course. The entry requirements for the Masters in Engineering Management course are given as follows:
Must be having undergraduate majors or degree in engineering or related course. The students can also have degrees in the behavioral, physical, mathematical sciences, computer Science and other related STEM fields.
For most graduate-level courses, the student should have experience in Mathematics (single variable calculus) and Statistics (intro level)
The main application requires the student to submit unofficial transcripts, 3 letters of recommendation, personal statement and resum

The following are the GPA requirements needed to get into NC state university:
A 3.0 overall out of 4.0 undergraduate grade point average
A 3.0 out of 4.0 point average in the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate work.
Non-native English speakers must have a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (PBT) or 80 (ET). The international students who have completed a BS or MS degree programme at a US university are exempt from the TOEFL requirement.
