On the basis of the applicant's merit at the All India level, admission will be granted. The written objective test will be administered by the institute in February or March of each year. The candidate must have earned a 10+2 Diploma and a three-year GNM (General Nursing Midwifery) Diploma. The candidate should have two years of professional experience. Male nurses who have not obtained a GNM Diploma are required to take a 6- to 9-month course that has been approved by INC in place of midwifery. The candidate must have received at least 50% in each course. The test should be passed on the first try. The AIIMS B.Sc. Nursing entrance exam consists of a 2-hour long computer-based test. The test comprises multiple-choice questions from four subjects: Physics Chemistry Biology (Botany and Zoology and General Knowledge. The distribution of questions and marks is as follows:
Physics: 30 questions for 30 marks
Chemistry: 30 questions for 30 marks
Biology (Botany and Zoology 30 questions for 30 marks
General Knowledge: 10 questions for 10 marks
The total number of questions in the exam is 100 and the total marks are 100. Each correct answer carries one mark, and there is a negative marking of 0.33 marks for each wrong answer.
