Any government college takes on an entrance exam for the admission process. And if not, then the percentile cut off is considered to be the main frame for admission process. The lesser the cut off marks, the more chances of being selected as a candidate for admission.

For microbiology field, you will need to head towards the research centers and keep on looking for certain government vacancies that are released time to time. Whereas, if you opt for Nursing, you will have ample opportunities to get hired in the government sector. Hope this helps.
