In case of vacant seats, they are not filled by any additional rounds. Instead they are shifted to affiliated college in any of the course. The shifting of seats is decided by committee assigned by the Dean Postgraduate Studies.

Yes 85% of the total seats are reserved for state domicile aspirants whereas the remaining 15% are for aspirants belonging to other states. Aspirants must study the prospectus in detail and read the seat reservation policy carefully.

Total seats in M.Tech course varies as per the specialisation. 8 seats are offered in M.Tech Computer Science & Engineering, 17 in Processing & Food Engineering, 11 in Farm Machinery and Power Engineering and 7 in Civil Engineering.

Documents required at the time of submitting application for M.Tech course at Punjab Agricultural University are class 10 and 12 mark sheets, UG score sheet, entrance exam score, ID proof and reservation certificate (if applicable).

No, direct admission is not available in the M.Tech course at Punjab Agricultural University. It is only based on the score obtained in the entrance exam. On the basis of the score, merit list is released, counselling process takes place and hence the seat is allotted.

Punjab Agricultural University accepts online applications for M.Tech course. The application steps are written below:

1. Select and register for M.Tech course from the list of available courses

2. Then, fill the academic details, name, along with passport-sized photo.

3. At the fee portal, make payment of INR 610

4. Punjab Agricultural University releases the merit list 

After aspirants perform the above given steps, Punjab Agricultural University will review the applications submitted by the aspirants. Document verification is done once aspirant application details are verified. The letter of admission is given once the final shortli

The PAU-MET exam has four sections, Agricultural Aptitude, General Science, General English and Mathematics. Total 50 questions are asked in Agricultural Aptitude, 30 in General Science, 10 in General English and 10 in Mathematics. The total weightage of this exam is 100 marks. It is a three-hour, MCQ based exam. It is a pen and paper based exam that takes place in offline mode.

Yes, aspirants must appear for the counselling process. During this process, document verification is done and seat is allotted based on total available seats in the M.Tech course. Applicants must pay the fee to confirm their allotted seat.
