Admission Process
Admission is done through SRMJEEH (UG) Entrance examination, subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the qualifying examination as well.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidate shall be completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.
The Maximum age limit for admission is 30 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.
He/She has passed the H.S.C / (10+2) or equivalent Examination from a recognized board / University in India with Minimum aggregate of 50 % Marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Botany + Zoology / Biotechnology , provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately.
Candidates who have studied abroad and have passed the equivalent qualification as determined by the association of Indian Universities as per the guidelines to determine the eligibility and must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Botany + Zoology / Biotechnology and English up to 12th standard level.
The qualifying Examinations passed by FN/PIO/CIWGC Students should be considered equivalent to Eligibility Examinations by the Association of Indian Universities / Academic Council.

Hi. B.Sc. In Medical Laboratory Technology or B.Sc. MLT is an undergraduate programme. Its duration is of 3 years. To be eligible for this course on must pass 10+2 with Science subjects Physics Chemistry Maths and Biology with aggregate of 50%. There are colleges which offer admission on basis of merit or entrance exams. The main focus of this course is to train students to deal with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases through the utilization of clinical laboratory tests. It has a good scope but less scope than the B.Sc. Microbiology course. The Bachelors in Microbiology will be in the most demand because of its use in the research feild. Microbiologists have a great demand in pharmacy. Agricultural research, dairy, food industry, Medical clinical industries. The world is developing daily and with it develops many other microorganisms that are both useful as well as harmful so here researchers & scientists help the common man to distinguish among them.
