- Examination Pathway: Admissions through UPESEAT for up to 80% of the seats. This mode of admission requires a JEE Mains qualification besides a minimum aggregate score of 60% in at the Higher & Senior Secondary levels (classes X and XII) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as the main subjects at the Senior Secondary level. Candidates who have successfully completed 12th standard with science or its equivalent examination from any recognised board and college. The duration of this programme is 3 years. The admission process is carried over by considering the merit score of the student in their 10+2 exams. Some institutes also conduct their own entrance exams followed by personal interview. DMLT is the option as you will save you a year compared to BMLT. But I would suggest you to go for Masters as biotech is an emerging field and you have bright options as a biotechnologist. Also, if you are inclined towards medical labs, many genetic and molecular labs prefer biotech candidates.
