International students at the University of Idaho can work on or off-campus, but they have fewer job options than local students. To study at the univeristy, students need to prove their financial stability. They must get approval from international services and have an I-20 form to work off-campus. During the school term, international students can work 20 hours per week, and during breaks, students can work up to 40 hours.

At Montclair State University, it's quite simple for students, including international ones, to find part-time jobs. They're allowed to work up to 20 hours per week during classes and up to 40 hours per week during breaks, both on and off campus. For on-campus jobs, there's no need for formal permission from the International Student Center or USCIS. Once students start their studies at the university and receive their Continued Attendance I-20, they can begin working.
