The principal aim of lateral entry is to save on one year before getting graduation degree. But B.Tech with evening classes does not fit into this since it takes more time in any case than normal B.Tech. However, I would advise you to approach your intended college administration for clarification.

The Direct Certification for Associate level certification without attending any SAP course, you need minimum 1 year of SAP implementation with experience.
