The admission to Ph.D. in sanskrit is done on the merit based and on the basis of central or university level entrance examination followed by the Personal Interview for final selection. Applicants have to pass either the university-based examination or UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) examination.

No, it is not compulsory in many universities as they conduct their own Doctor of Philosophy entrance exam followed by interviews or counseling. And if you are National Eligibility Test qualified then you will be exempted from the entrance exam. However, top institutes prefer candidates with National Eligibility Test/State Eligibility Test certificates. Also, the National Eligibility Test/State Eligibility Test is compulsory for lecturership eligibility till now. It is possible to pursue Ph.D. after MCA in India and you will need GATE or NET scores to apply for Ph.D. at a university in India. Along with a valid qualifying score, you must also prepare a research thesis. If you want to apply for a Ph.D. abroad, then you will have to qualify GRE.

Hello. You can visit the official website of JJT University again. The online PhD application is still available, and we can see the date January 29, 2023, in the "Admission" tab. Therefore, you may apply for a PhD again, and the next CET may be held in January 2023.
You have to follow the process mentioned, which is to download and fill out an application form. Submit all related documents and your proposal before the common entrance test (CET) date. You can also contact the department using the contact information provided on the same portal at the JJTU.
