One of the option is to apply for NET exam. UGC NET exam is a national level exam, organized for the selection of candidates for assistant professor and junior research fellowship. The minimum eligibility to apply for NET exam is post-graduation degree from the UGC approved universities with more than 55% marks. After qualifying the UGC NET exam, you will be eligible to apply for Ph.D. courses in the universities of India. The candidates are allowed to apply for their post-graduation subjects. As you have Master's degree in M.Com, you can apply for UGC NET commerce subject. You can check for the universities which provide the admission into Ph.D. courses with or without admission test and apply for the selected one.

The minimum eligibility criteria to become a lecturer is having a Master's degree. There are many colleges that do not require any certification for teaching and selects the candidates on the basis of their graduation. But as per the rules, you have to clear an eligibility test to become a lecturer in colleges and institutes. For lectureship, there is UGC NET Exam which is a National Level Eligibility. So, if you want to become a lecturer then appear in the UGC NET Exam and qualify it. Those who clear the NET Exam will get a certificate that can be used to apply in any colleges and institutes for lectureship (Assistant Professor). Those who fulfil this criterion will only eligible for the exam. The exam is conducted by NTA twice a year. You can pursue Ph.D. after completing the tenure of JRF and submitting your project.

Yes, you can definitely pursue M.Sc and Ph.D together. You can opt-in for Integrated Ph.D. It is a research programme, which is mainly devoted to Science and engineering. The students receive an integrated Ph.D. degree after successfully completing their degree and doctorate. In other words, integrated doctoral studies is the 5-year dual master and doctoral degree course. In the first two years, applicants need to study for the first two years in the M.Sc course and focus for the next three years on research and core Ph.D courses. There are different entrance exams for admission to these programs. If you wish to enroll yourself in this course, you must have a Bachelor degree in the respective core subject for at least three years.
