Hello Amrit, If you are interested in lectureship or research, or want to apply for higher studies, then apply for UGC NET exam. UGC NET exam is held for various 84 subjects in commerce, arts music, language and many more. UGC NET exam is held twice a year in June and December. After qualifying the exam, you can apply for assistant professor post or JRF. The post graduate candidates can apply for the exam. The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for UGC NET is post graduation degree. There is no age limit for assistant professor (NET lectureship) while for JRF candidates must be below 30 years old. After qualifying the NET exam you will get opportunity as follows:
To become a lecturer or assistant professor
Get scholarship or fellowship award
be a researcher or scientist
Get a job as lab assistant
Job in PSU
Publish your articles or books, become an author. Get a job in administration

Hi Mewa, Eligibility for Ph.D. M.Sc. Or equivalent degree in Physics/ Mathematics/ Electronics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Photonics or Master's in Computer Applications. Marks are not the criteria for selection, but still it should be at least 50%. Admissions are Entrance based - Desirable to have valid GATE score / NET JRF/GPAT. Selection procedure: Candidates are shortlisted for an interview based on their performance in
the National Entrance Test or the qualifying degree as detailed in the above table. The selection is
based on the performance in the interview (in some of the departments, a written test will precede the
interview). .
