The candidate desiring to seek admission to Ph.D. Programme at NCU shall apply for the same on the prescribed Application Form 1 by a due date announced by NCU. The applications will be scrutinized by the concerned School Doctoral Research Committees (SDRCs). Candidates who do not have valid score in national tests like GATE UGC NET and SLET will have to appear in Entrance Test named NCU Ph.D. Entrance Test (NPET) and will have the following weightage of various components for admission: NPET marks 50%, Qualifying degree marks 30%, and Interview 20%. The minimum eligibility criterion is that the student must have passed M.Phil degree or should have done post-graduation in any relevant discipline with an aggregate of at least 55% marks. The study should have been done from a recognised university listed under UGC or a recognised institution of higher education.
