Yes, you can get admission in AMU for B.Tech, and also you'll get lateral entry mean direct admission in second year, but you have to crack the entrance exam.

When you are done with X/10th, you can join Polytechnic which is a three year course. This is called diploma and is equivalent to 12th. When you take admission in B.Tech after this, you get into 2nd year because the first year is exempted for Lateral Entry/Diploma Holders. You do the degree in continuation of the Diploma Stream. It becomes a three-year course then.

I don't think it would be really worth. You can pursue B.Tech instead of B.Sc. You'll get more value than B.Sc. holders and also, you'll get direct admission in the second year.

Dear,
I think you can't go for it. Because Polytechnic is an UG programme. You need to do a Bachelor's programme for joining PG. Hope this helps. Keep asking.
