Up to you. Depends on why you need a Ph.D. It is an investment in time, effort, money and resources. You have to weigh the benefits of getting a Ph.D. with that of your needs. Then you can go for it. As I can see your discipline so much specialised, a Ph.D. under normal circumstances will be very valuable. On the other hand if you are a specialist in this area and earning a fabulous money then you have to see what a Ph.D. will do for you. Thank you for the queries.

I believe, The one thing in which we engineers are fantastic is multi- tasking. We can be an engineer (+ psychiatrist /civil servant /CDs officers /entrepreneur/teacher /professors/ scientist and whatever field you can think of. So, you can do it !
You can take Diploma in psychiatric medicine or to be a psychiatrist you have to get a Bachelor's degree with specialisation in psychiatry.

Unfortunately no. You have to pursue Biology in 11th and 12th to get into MBBS and then finish M.Ed school and get a one year internship programme outside india (preferably california).

MD/MS in Psychiatric ke liye minimum qualification MBBS hai. Isliye aap PG courses nahi kar sakti chain. Jabki Diploma courses ke liye bhi MBBS degree chaahiye. Isliye aap Psychiatric nahi ban sakti.
