No, the exam body does not publish a merit list. The PUMDET results are announced in the form of a rank card for each examinee separately. They are required to log in by entering their application numbers and dates of birth to access their rank cards.

The steps to check the PUMDET result are provided below -

  • Visit the official website of the exam
  • Find and click on the 'Rank Card for PUMDET 2025' link 
  • Enter your application number and date of birth and the security pin/ captcha code (case sensitive)
  • Your rank card will appear on the screen.
  • Make sure you download and print it as you will be required to produce it during counselling.

The schedule for PUMDET 2025 is not released by the exam body yet. However, based on past cycles of the exam, it can be predicted that the result of PUMDET 2025 may be released in August 2025.

One thing is certain that since PUMDET is an entrance exam for postgraduate courses, the difficulty level of the exam will be fairly high. Aspirants must start their preparations as soon as possible. To be particular, it is advised that they start their studies at least 2 to 3 months before the exam date for good measure.

Since PUMDET is a postgraduate level entrance exam, it is advised that the applicants study from their Bachelors degree programme notes. Other than that they can also refer to the following. 

  • Arihant prep books (you'll find them for your desired subject on Amazon)
  • HC Verma for Physics 
  • ML Khanna 
  • DC Pandey for practice questions 
  • Class XI and XII textbooks

The exam body, WBJEEB, releases older PUMDET question papers on their website. In order to access them, simply Google 'PUMDET Question Papers', you will find the official link in the first few search results. Find your desired subject and download the question paper PDF.

No, the application form for PUMDET is only available online. You have to visit the exam's official website and fill it online. Any duplicate forms or forms received by any other means will not be considered.

The steps to fill the PUMDET application form are provided below.

  • Go to the WBJEEB PUMDET website 
  • Click on the PUMDET application form link and register by entering your name, your pasrents' name, identification, DOB, category, mobile number and email ID
  • Now make a password and choose a security question and answer
  • Fill the application form by providing academic details, course of choice, choice of exam city, etc.
  • Upload images of your passport-sized photograph and signature 
  • Pay the application fee and submit
  • Wait for the confirmation page and then you are done.
