COEP- It is an autonomous college and its admission procedure is different than other colleges.
VIT- Also Autonomous.

1) Academic qualifications
Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (H.S.C.) or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other equivalent examination from any recognised Board/University or any school/college in India.
2. Pass Percentage in Qualifying Exam
Candidates belonging to general category must have secured 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 level exam, while candidates belonging to SC/ST category with 45% aggregate marks will be considered eligible for the exam.
