1. One of the best mess. The contractor has been serving food since last 15 years. So, the food is kind of good. Or at least better than other hostels.
2. The hostel is located at the farthest from all the main gates. Just along the backside boundary there is a layer of jungle. So there is always peace. No sound of vehicles, no polluted air. Just the nature.
3. They got air conditioned common room.
4. The gym is fantastic and well equipped.
5. Experienced barbers, tailor.
6. 2 small playgrounds. We use to play cricket there. No need to go outside hostel.

-For getting a percentage from CGPA Just, multiply the grade point to 9.5, and the answer is the Percentage. For example, A student gets a total CGPA grade of 10 on his report card. The Percentage will be 10*9.5= 95%.
-The examination system of Chandigarh University has been designed keeping in view the best available options of evaluation & certification along with their global acceptability. -Dont get overstressed if you missed it. As per as mark is concerned it depends on college you are studying and department whether they will give you marks or not.Sometimes good conduct to specific teachers can fetch you marks.If you have a valid reason then write a letter to the Hod sir with prove, he will definitely help you.Though internal exams are matter of attendance in most of the cases!
-Internal exams are conducted by Teachers in colleges. You may be asked for a Retest or something else will be arranged for you (like assignments etc.) so that they can give proper marks to a student

-I think that completely depends from department to department. I will speak from prospective of Engineering.
-Since first year is your starting year, do not take your studies lightly right away. Trust if you get your studies on track in first year, next three years are going to be smooth right away. Built enough buffer so that you can enjoy the later years and focus on other important things.
Interact with all students and figure out those whose thinking matches with yours. These people are going to be part of your life on and possibly off campus. Good friends make good memories.

-For engineering students, They have to wear University formals on Wednesday . 4 days in a week you can wear causal. The authority doesn't allow you to the campus if you are not in uniform on Wednesday. And you Hotel management student I guess they have to wear uniform 5 day in a week (I am not sure although).

-The minimum eligibility for taking admission will be to hold a Bachelor degree and work experience for MBA executive. Candidates who have qualified AMIE exam and passed Diploma with 5 years or more teaching or research experience are also eligibility. PU CET/ CAT/ PG CET.
-Admission to BE/BTech is done through JEE Main examination followed by counselling. While MBA, B.Sc, and LLB admissions are based on an entrance test conducted by the university. Panjab University also accepts national-level entrance tests such as NEET UG, NEET PG, NEET MDS, GPAT, etc.
