You need a very high rank (22737) in DECT. Most of the seats are reserved for the state domicile students so getting admission from foreign state is going to be very difficult. And the lateral entry and the normal entry is same.

1)CSE (ai&ml) has a cutoff edge over ise while best part of ise is it does not have any hardware subjects.
2)moreover ise is less recognised while CSE is well recognised all over world.
3) ai and ml is the upcoming future.
4) both departments hod are supportive
5) Their is relaxation in attendance in ise department.

The eligibility criteria of MCA of Ramaiah Institute of Technology is given below.
Eligibility: Candidates who have passed a 3-year bachelor's degree from a recognized university with not less than 50% of the marks in aggregate of all the years of the degree examination with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Computer Programming/ Computer Applications/ Business Mathematics/ Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects/ electives at degree level. In case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and Category-l the minimum aggregate is 45%.
Entrance Exam: KMAT or PGCET any one mandatory
NIMCET is for admission in NIT

By visiting the link you will have a detailed college review about MSRIT, their admission process, fees structure, placements etc. However, the admission for the year 2021 and 2022 would be closed in most of the colleges. If you want placement in IT companies then you have to choose any one among ISE/CSE and ECE at MSIRT because Chemical/ Mech/ IEM/ Biotech will not be helpful in getting placements in IT sector.

For admission into B.E and B.Arch course, the institute accepts KCET/COMEDK and NATA scores respectively. Candidates who are seeking admission in M.Tech are required to possess a valid score in GATE/PGCET exam. While, admission to MBA and MCA depends upon KMAT/PGCET score. In case of MBA, MSRIT also considers the score of MAT/CMAT for selection.
