Ranchi University BSc seats are offered to registered candidates based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Candidates seeking admission must first apply for preferred BSc courses and institutes by visiting the official website of the admission portal.

Ranchi University follows the rules of reservation as per the Govt of Jharkhand. As per the reservation policy, a total of 50% of seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC category candidates. The seat reservation breakdown for the SC/ST/OBC category is as follows:
