Ranchi University

The size of the campus of Ranchi University is around 60 acres. The campus is spread across 65,000 square kilometers. It comprises a fully automated central library with 2 Lacs books, a boys and girls hostel with 210 and 60 beds, respectively, seven labs, hospital & medical facilities, an auditorium, a gym, etc. The University also has 15 constituent colleges and 29 affiliate colleges under its jurisdiction.

The different departments of Ranchi University are organized into three faculties:
Faculty of Science: This faculty consists of the departments of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Botany, and Zoology.
Faculty of Humanities: This faculty consists of the departments of Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Philosophy, Urdu, and Bengali.
Faculty of Social Sciences: This faculty consists of the departments of Anthropology, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, and Sociology.
