No, candidates are not required to send the hard copy of the application form to RBI. However, candidates should take the printout of the application form and fee payment receipt. If the online transaction is not completed successfully then candidates are advised to login again with their provisional registration number and password to pay the fees while filling RBI Assistant application form. After successful fee payment, candidates can take the printout of the fee transaction receipt. Candidates should keep the fee transaction receipt carefully. There is no interview in RBI Assistant exam. Candidates qualifying the Mains exam are required to appear for Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The prelims exam carries 100 marks. The total marks allotted to the mains exam are 200.

The basic pay of RBI Assistant is INR 20700. Candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc. , as admissible from time to time. The payscale is INR 20700-1200 (3)-24300- 1440 (4) -30060-1920 (6)-41580-2080 (2)-45740-2370 (3)-52850- 2850-55700 (20 years). Candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly gross emoluments for Assistants is approximately INR 45,050.
