South campus of San Jose State University is spread over 64 acres of land. This campus primarily offers all the athletics programs of the university.

Technically, San Jose State Universtiy has two campuses; a main campus and south campus. Main campus of San Jose State Universit is spread over 154 acres where as South campu of SJSU covers 62 acres of land. The South campus of San Jose State University is located just 8 blocks away from the main campus. The main campus of the university houses all 9 academic colleges and academic buildings. Whereas, south campus of San Jose State University primarily hosts all the athletic programs of the university.

Since 1924, San Jose State University (SJSU) has been part of nearly all Summer Olympic Games. San Jose State University athletes are commonly called Spartans. In the Olympics, San Jose State University students have won 7 Gold medals, 7 Silver medals, and 6 Bronze medals till now. It work towards roping in employment opportunities, empowering over 35,000 graduates and undergraduates, faculty, and prospective employers.
