Yes, you have to pass in 10+2 with good grades and pass the JEE Mains exam with good performance .
But it's depend on course like
- Diploma - 10+2 with aggregate marks from recognised board.
- UG courses - 10+2 with JEE Mains score.
- (PG course )
- M.Tech /M.E - B.Tech with 60 % with Gate score
- Msc - B.Sc with 55%
- MBA - graduate with 55% CAT/GATE/CMAT/ exam score

Yes, SLIET accept JEE score respectively for taking admission in B.E/B.Tech and GATE There are other options are MBA and M.Sc admission based on CCMN/JAM/PUCET (PG)/CUCET/SET and CAT/CMAT score respectively.The candidate must be eligibile as per the criteria set by the college for admission to its courses.

I think both SLIET and SMVDU are reputed institutes for B.Tech in India.
- SMVDU is better than SLIET for placement and facilities
- The package range of SLIET is INR 4 TO 19 Lakh.
- The package offered at SMVDU is INR 4.5 to 25 Lakh.
- The growth rate offered at SMVDU roughly 30%, 10% is SLIET.
