The university provides BCom admission to eligible applicants based on their merit in Class 12. To be eligible for admission, applicants must have passed Class 12 in the stream of Commerce from a recognised board in India. Sarala Birla University MBA eligibility criteria is given below:
- Candidates must have passed Class 12 in the stream of Commerce from a recognised board in India.

- A relaxation of 5% in the minimum marks is given to candidates belonging to ST/SC category.

As per the SBU reviews available on Shiksha.com, the percentage of MBA students placed every year is over 60%. Companies like Tata AIG, HDFC, Mahindra Finance, Osam Dairy, Outlook etc. visited the campus in recent years to provide placement and intership opportunities. A reviewer asserted that the average salary package offered to MBA students ranges between INR 5 LPA and INR 6 LPA.
