Firstly for this year application phase is completed. Only counselling rounds are there.
Admission process is you have to apply when admissions are open( online www.sastra.edu, offline in CUB banks), if you want to apply for both thanjavur and kumbakonam campus seperate applications otherwise one application is enough. After applying upload all documents. Once results are out you will be awarded your preference branch seat if you are eligible.

It depends on your intrest. some IT companies also give chances for bioengineer students, as in every branch people learn C and CPP in their first year. so who can perform well in exams can get their job. For those who are interested in their branch jobs, after completing their BTech, it's difficult to get good jobs. so most people go for M.Tech.
