The marking scheme for SBEST exam is as follows:
- One mark will be awarded for every correct answer
- No negative marking
- No marks are awarded or deducted for unanswered questions
There are only multiple-choice questions in the SBEST exam with four options each. Candidates have to choose the right option among the four.

The SBEST exam question paper will have 60 questions spread across three sections. The section-wise weightage is as follows:

The SBEST exam 2025 will be conducted in the computer-based test mode. Candidates have to visit the exam centre to take the test. The SBEST exam will be conducted for one hour or 60 minutes. All the 60 multiple-choice questions will be required to be solved within the given time limit. Students will not be given any extra time to solve the question paper.
