Scholarships are provided by the Central University of Karnataka on two bases:
1- Need-based scholarships: Provided to the students who are under the poverty lines.
Students who hail from the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or OBC quota are eligible for scholarships if they secure 75 percent in their higher secondary examination.
Students who hail from an economically low background are eligible for the CUK Karnataka scholarship by the university.
Students whose parent serves /has served in the military are eligible for a scholarship.
The university sponsors a scholarship under the sports quota and physically challenged students.
2- Merit-based scholarships: Provided to the students who have scored the top marks.

No, there is no specific OBC scholarship offered at Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management.
However, numerous numbers of Scholarships are offered by the HITM is listed below:
1- Rank holders below 5,000 ranks in EAMCET are eligible for 100 percent fee waiver.
2- Rank holders between 5,000 to 10,000 ranks in EAMCET are eligible for 50 percent fee waiver.
3- National level winners/participants in academic competitions like Mathematics Olympiad, Science Olympiad, National Science fair or exhibitions.
4- State level winners/participants in academic competitions like Mathematics Olympiad, Science Olympiad, National Science fair or exhibitions.
5- State level winners/participants in sports.
6- Participants in other activities and achievements may also apply and eligible students may be considered after thorough scrutiny of their application by the Scholarship recommendation committee of HITAM.

Any board topper across the country will get 100% scholarship for all the years of the UG degree programme. Any district topper across the country will get 50% scholarship for all the years of the UG degree programme. If the district topper is a girl, she will get an additional 25% scholarship (making it 75% scholarship).
100% Full Merit scholarship to a candidate who has secured CGPA of 9.0 or 90% and above (whichever is applicable) in the 6 Semesters/ Three Years of the qualifying UG examination
50% scholarship to a candidate who has secured CGPA of 8.0 or 80% and above (whichever is applicable) in the 6 Semesters/ Three Years of the qualifying UG examination and an additional 25% for a girl candidate making it a 75% scholarship. The above PG scholarship is applicable to M.Sc. Physics and M.Sc. Chemistry PG degree programme admissions at VIT-Andhra Pradesh University from AY- 2021. For M.Sc. Data Science, students having a cumulative score of 90% and above in UG degree are eligible for 50% fee concession.
