Science Eligibility

According to the eligibility criteria, you are eligible to appear for CTET Paper 2 in social Science. The basic criteria are that you have completed your graduate degree and either a B.Ed. Or D.Ed. However, since you are a biology graduate, the social studies question may become a challenge in CTET Paper 2 and also while applying for a teaching post at the upper primary level, i.e., classes 6 to 8. In question paper 2, there are a total of five parts, out of which parts 2 (mathematics and Science) and 3 (social studies and social Science) are optional. You will be required to answer 60 questions from any one section as filled out by you in your online application form. Since you want to go for social Science, the questions will come from topics such as history, geography, social and political life, etc., which you might not have studied in depth. Also, during the interview, you will be asked why you chose social Science after doing a B.Sc. In Biology. Therefore, you are advised to select Mathematics and Science for appearing in CTET Paper 2.

You can apply for an M.Sc. in data Science after doing a B.Sc. In Maths. M.Sc. Data Science or M.Sc. Data Analytics are near equal degrees. Data Science is a field where Mathematics and Statistics are visually coming alive on scientific decision making based on analyzing any data, be it business, industrial, social, healthcare, pharma, media and so on. You will love to admire your Mathematics and Statistics that you hated while doing them at your B.Sc. Mathematics/Statistics level. You will feel proud that you have chosen the right course at M.Sc. Level in Data Science that will propel you as Data Scientist to which very few contestants are there in the final.
Is it good to do an M.Sc. In data Science after a B.Sc. In Statistics to get jobs? I think a lot of that depends on what hard technical skills you already have. While many people think that more Statistics you know the better, most of what you do in data Science is not straight up Statistics or algorithm creation. Instead there are typically building and deploying models using known and existing algorithms. There are things that you will get out of a data Science programme that you will not get out of a Statistics programme (although this is changing to some extent because of the growth of data Science). .

The basic essential requirement is that one must be at least 21 years of age and have a Bachelor's degree. For TGT (Science), the essential requirement is:
B.Sc in Physics and Chemistry as well as a B.Ed. From a recognised university. For TGT Biology the essential requirement is:
B.Sc with Biology Zoology and Botany) and a B.Ed. Degree from a recognised university. Therefore, you may be eligible for TGT Biology if you have a B.Ed. Degree along with a graduate degree.
