As per the syllabus of Integrated B.Tech + M.Tech in Biological Engineering at IIT Madras, The calculus, Physics, Computational Engineering/Thermodynamics, Engineering Mechanics, Mathematics and Basic Electrical Engineering are studied from Ist to 4th semester. So, Mathematics is needed here for better understanding. While from 5th semester and onward the core subjects are started so Maths is not needed here.

Educational qualification : An undergraduate degree in Science / Computer Science / Information Technology. So B.Sc Science graduate are not eligible for this course.

There is no specific cutoff marks in Fergusson College for UG Arts courses. However for admissions you have to score above 91% at 12th level for Grant in Aid courses. While above 88% for UG self financed courses.

Eligibility Criteria : Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) examination securing minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and passing Mathematics/ Commercial Arithmetic /Statistics as one of the subjects. Relaxation of 5% marks will be given to the candidates of reserved categories. Selection procedure for BCA course: On Merit Basis. Intake Capacity : 60 (6 Endowments)
So from above anyone from Mathematics/ Commercial Arithmetic /Statistics is compulsory for BCA. So you are not eligible for BCA if not meeting the above eligibility criteria.
