The entrance test syllabus is almost the same for all the streams in M.Sc. There can be few questions asked for the specializations in the exam, but majorly the syllabus is almost the same. Both are academic degrees given to undergraduate students. If you want to study any one of the main sciences in Forensic Science (eg. Chemistry, physics, mathematics etc. ) in detail, it is advisable to go for a B.Sc (Hons) forensic Science course. But, if you want a more balanced and multi-disciplinary approach, it is better to pursue a B.Sc Forensic Science (General) course for under-graduate studies. So, it is totally the choice of the candidate which one to go for. Both the degrees are valuable.
