B.Sc in Home Science is a 3-year full-time undergraduate programme divided across 6 semesters. Home Science is the application of Science to bring home and family life in sync with changing surroundings, the programme being only open to women. Theoretical projects in each subject and lab practical are a regular feature in the academic life of a Home Science student. Home Science may be defined as the study required to develop home or family life within a changing society, with the aid of scientific knowledge and methods. The subjects involved in making Home Science an efficient learning tool for better-living are PCB, good hygiene, efficient rural development, well community living, art, better food, clothing, textiles, and proper home management etc.

Hi Lokesh, Students who usually want to play more professional roles in their lives, in the long run, and believe that they can be good in any business or entrepreneurship, tend to choose an MBA degree abroad. But students who want to follow a different approach, say get into research or work for a year or two in companies and then get into teaching, tend to choose an MS degree abroad over MBA. If you wish to focus on engineering as your core passion and work in an engineering-related sector or conduct research in engineering or take up teaching engineering as a career, then an MS or an M.Tech would be a good choice. But, if you are one of those people who wants to learn management and leadership skills, how to manage people better and how to make logical decisions in a business, then you should choose a degree in MBA. Both programme are good but if someone has a plan for Ph.D. than MS programme has slit edge over MBA due to their structure which is research oriented. And as you are a mechanical student I would suggest you to go for MS. Hope this will help.

Mathematics is a universal subject. If you choose to pursue a B.Sc in Mathematics, there will be a lot many options that you will be able to choose from. You can work in different areas such as:
- Mathematician - You can choose to pursue research (become a scientist) in your area of interest in Maths. And, if you choose to research, you can go into the teaching sector also. Check out institutes like TIFR Mumbai, IMSc Chennai, Harish Chandra Research Institute Allahabad. - Chartered Accountancy - If you like auditing, taxes, and accounting, you can think of preparing for CA too. - Banking - Banking is another sector that you can get into with Mathematics. - Actuarial Sciences - If you love data and Maths, actuarial sciences would be a great field for it. - Data Analysis/Operations Analysis/Project Development - If you want to work in the private sector, you can look at these profiles. - Military Operations - Mathematics degree would also allow you to work in the military sector, scientists are always required to work with military and development (DRDO, ISRO, NAL, SETS, etc.). You can also join the navy as a Commissioned Officer in their education or logistics branch. - Market Researcher - There are a lot of companies that you can work with to identify market patterns and trends, and help in analyzing these trends.

- Computer Operator
The job of a Computer Operator is to oversee maintenance and operation of computer hardware and software systems. They are responsible for controlling consoles of mainframe digital computer, or a set of minicomputers.
They also perform maintenance tasks such as checking for viruses, backing up data, upgrading software, and other basic computer work.

- Accountant
An Accountant prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries for a firm by compiling and analyzing account information.
They document financial transactions catering to a firm by entering account information. They also recommend financial actions to the manager by analyzing accounting options.

- Food Technologist
Food Technologists are responsible for developing safe and efficient food that is consumable and saleable at commercial markets. They are involved in the modification and manufacturing steps of food products. Food Technologists also plan recipes and manage food production on a large scale.
