There are 42 State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), 1 Central Agricultural University (CAU), 5 Deemed Universities (DUs) and 4 general Central Universities with Agriculture faculty in India. These institutions provide admission at UG level in 11 disciplines and about 15,000 students get enrolled every year. After completing 10+2 EXAMS there are mostly 4 ways to join Merchant Navy:
Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS)
Bachelor in Nautical Science
B. Tech (Marine Engineering)
G.P Rating Courses
All these courses cater to different branches of merchant navy but the eligibility criteria remains the same and following are the eleigbility criteria for the courses.
The candidate must be physically and mentally fit, as they have to go through a medical exam.
Candidate must have a 6/6 eyesight in each of his eyes sepratley or before joining he or she can get a lasik before joining the course.
Candidate should not have color blindness.
Age should not exceed 25 years.

No, B.Sc is not available, but you may go for BNYS.
