Most of the colleges follow the same selection process, i.e. exam score, Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI). Some colleges do not conduct WAT. The GD round is conducted group-wise. Each group has a few numbers of aspirants who are given a topic to discuss. About 5-10 minutes are given to aspirants for preparing their argument and then there is a discussion on that topic. In a Group Discussion, the panelists adjudge the candidate's ability to hold a discussion, lead a discussion and convince a group of people. In the WAT, candidates are given a topic to write a short essay. The essay is usually of 200-300 words. Through WAT, the interviews check candidates' knowledge, clarity of thought, and communication ability. In the PI round, candidates are judged on their interpersonal skills, communication ability, and overall personality. For instance, SCMC Pune does not conduct the Group Discussion round but rather has a studio test that the students are judged on. Students' academic profile is also taken into consideration for the final selection. However, there may be slight differences in cut-offs or weightage assigned to various selection criteria of the colleges. No, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) does not hold a centralized counseling process for BBA Admissions through SET. The role of Symbiosis University is to only conduct the SET exam and prepare the results. The role in BBA process is only sharing the result/scorecard of candidates with the BBA participating institutes that they have selected in the SET application form. The participating institutes prepare their own merit list and select candidates for admission basis the result shared by Symbiosis University. The minimum eligibility criteria for shortlisting is passing marks in SET. However, the selection is based on cut-offs fixed by the institutes. The institutes accepting SET scores inform students about their shortlist status via e-mail when the admission windows open. Candidates who are expecting a call from the institutes they had selected in the SET application form must keep a check on their email (spam section too) for the interview invitation.

SET cut offs are not unannounced along with the SET result. Individual participating institutes released their own cutoff and they are known after a few days of result announcement when the colleges start their shortlisting process. SET cutoff is a major criteria for students to get admissions to their desired colleges. According to the previous years, the SET cutoff in the top institutes generally range from 45 to 89. The SET cutoff varies from one institute to another. The expected SET cutoff for the General category students is 89 and that for those belonging to SC and ST categories is 50 and 48 respectively.
