Air Ticketing- this is the actual purchase/issuing of a ticket for a mode of travel. A lot of airlines have their offshore ticketing offices, where immediate purchases can be made by passengers.
These counters are also available at the airport and such jobs are offered directly through the respective airlines as ground staff. Ticketing would also require knowledge of certain software for the process.
So, both have similar career prospects depending on the path you choose.

The exam will be written exam of AIHMCT and this will be conducted in the first week of March 2018. The paper will consist of 200 multiple choice questions. Mode of the exam will be pen-paper based. You don't need to pursue MBA if you want to become a manager in a hotel.
If you are about to complete your 12th, you can appear for NCHMCT Joint Entrance Exam depending upon your rank in NCHMCT you will get an IHM. If you get a good IHM, you just need to study for 3-years BHM and in the 3rd-year, you can sit for placements.
