Firstly, you need to make a good study plan for preparation. For that, you must have the knowledge about the syllabus and exam pattern. On the basis of your syllabus, design a proper time table in a manner that you will get the enough time for all the subjects. Time management plays a very important role in exam preparation so while preparing the time table must take care that study of one subject should not exceed for 3-4 hour as it can make you stressful.

I think all-over Hansraj is a good college and I would like to recommend others who are planning to seek admission in this college. The crowd of Hansraj is also very decent with the cooperating seniors and staff members.
College is under Delhi Government so infrastructure isn't that great but this is one of the best colleges of Delhi University.

Yes, it is possible to go into Political science course without being from Arts background. General Eligibility for joining BA in Political Science is having 50% in qualifying intermediate exam. There is no age limit for joining this course. For getting admission in this course, there are many colleges in India which give admission in this course. Many colleges conduct their own exam and others take admission on the basis of qualifying exam.

BHU PET is an entrance examination for admission to different PG courses conducted by BHU.
Preparation for any exam begins with laying hands on syllabus. Then one should make a time table keeping in mind the time available for studies prior to exam. The subjects must have already been studied by the students while appearing for undergraduate examinations. So the time table should take care of this fact and lay emphasis on brushing up topics that one feels needs more studies. Along with the study one must plan time for exercise, yoga & pranayam. Arts, Humanity and Commerce are very different branches as Science. Yes, it is difficult to get into Science and Engineering if one doesn't have a pre base. There are lot of examples of people switching from science to arts but not vice versa. This is because the complexity cannot be understood by self.
A person should be sure of what to do while choosing streams. The longer the correct career clicks, the more difficult it is.
Long story short, yes, one can say so that it is difficult to start career in Science when there is no proper background.
