The last date for admission to IHM Shillong for the academic year 2024-25 has not been released yet. Admission to B.Sc. at IHM Shilong is done based on the scores obtained in the NCHMCT exam. The admission process is very competitive for IHM Shillong. So, It is important to prepare for the entrance examination.
There are some eligibility criteria which needs to be fulfilled:
* You should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
* You should have passed English as a compulsory subject at 10+2 level.
* You should have passed Mathematics as a compulsory subject at 10+2 level.
* You should have passed Physics or Chemistry as a compulsory subject at 10+2 level.
& Once you fulfill the eligibility criteria, you can apply for admission to IHM Shillong through the online application portal.

The tuition fee for a B.Sc. is INR 2,54.000. The candidate may need to pay extra charges like hostel charges, admission fees, etc. To be eligible for this course, the candidate must have at least 45% in class 12th in any exam from any board. The candidate will have to appear for the NCHMCT exam.

No, direct admission is not possible in IHM Shillong. The admission is based on the merit and entrance exam scores. IHM conducts its own entrance exam under the National Council For Hotel Management (NCHM). The exam is held in two parts: the written and the interview. After clearing both rounds you can get admission in IHM Shillong.

The eligibility criteria for B.Sc at IHM Shillong are as follows:
1) The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics as core subject.
2) The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks.
3) The candidate must have appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examination.
4) The candidate must have been born on or after 1st July 1998.

Well, IHM Shillong offers a variety of courses in hospitality and tourism management. The best course for you totally depends on your interest. If you are interested in a career in the hospitality industry, then the Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) course is a good option. If you are interested in a career in the tourism industry, then the Bachelor of Tourism Management (BTM) course is a good option.
Both courses are accredited by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering (NCHM&C).

Yes, IHM Shillong is a good institute for an UG Diploma. It is a government-funded institute. The institute offers a three-year Diploma in Hotel Management (DHM) course. The course is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering (NCHM&C). The institute has a good infrastructure and faculty. The placement record of this institute is also very good.
