There are many vocational short term courses that are provided by government as well private institutions in fashion technology.
You may look at the NIFT website for continuing education page where they have at least 1yr programme in fashion design.
Also ATDC has a pan India network which is registered under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles that provide 6 months to 2 years of various courses in fashion design. These will even cost you much less than its private counterparts.
Apart from these government institutions, Many private institutes like Pearl Academy, JD fashion school provide short term courses in Fashion.

Arena Animation Indore offers short-term courses of duration one to six months consisting of one semester. Candidates who have completed Class 10 can apply for the short-term courses. SID doesn't offer any short term / distance courses. The institute presently offers only full time Under- Graduate degree courses.
At the UG level, the institute offers a regular B.Des program, while a hybrid M.Des program is offered at the PG level.
Admission to both courses will be through the SEED 2026 entrance exam.
