No, the Bodoland University is not the best University in sikkim. There are other famous top Universities such as Sikkim University, Sikkim Manipal University, SRM University (sikkim campus), ICFAI University in sikkim, etc. The Sikkim Manipal University has a NIRF ranking of 101 - 150 of colleges in India in 2023. It is ranked among the top Universities of Sikkim. The Bodoland University has not made it to the top colleges of India. But in sikkim it ranks 12 among the Universities of Sikkim. The Bodoland University does not have good reviews like the other Universities. The students feel that there is no placements and the WiFi facili

As per the NIRF report 2024, a total of 31 MTech students graduated in 2023. Out of these, 20 were placed during 2023 placements. This makes the placement rate almost 65%. Earlier, out of 34 MTech graduates 12 were placed during 2022 placements. This makes the placement rate 35%. From 2021 to 2023, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the MTech placement rate. See the table below depicting the NIT Sikkim placement trends for MTech:

Every year, Sikkim University's placement cell actively invites a variety of companies to the campus to recruit final-year students. This is done as part of the university's placement drive.
Through a variety of pre-placement training initiatives, Sikkim University's placement cell gets students ready for placements. These consist of mock interviews, group discussions and workshops aimed at improving students' employability.

SMIT, in my years, was a good experience. I have learnt a lot in this college.
Placements: In the college there is100% placement in CSE Branch. Top recruiting companies are Dell, Microsoft, Cognizant, Providence, Ericson, Nomura Fintech, etc. Top roles offered are in software development, software testing, HR, UI/UX designer, etc. The highest package offered is of INR 25 LPA and the lowest package is of INR 4 LPA. 95% of the students got internships as well.
