Yes, North Bengal University is better than Siliguri Institute of Technology as NBU is government college under the West Bengal jurisdiction. But the SIT is a private college. As per fees, the NBU  has a very nominal fee for MBA which is of 1.5 lakhs where as SIT has a fees of 5 lakhs for the whole course. The quality of the teachers are better than sit inNBU. The teachers in NBU is very cooperative and helpful so NBU is better than SIT.

The students pursuing a course from the institute are open to scholarships provided by the West Bengal Government. West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation provides Post-Matric Scholarships and Merit-cum-Means Scholarships. Scholarships will be provided to eligible students in order of merit and subject to the budgetary allocation provided by the State Government. For renewal, the applicant will be eligible for the scholarship if he/she has obtained 50% aggregate in his/ her previous examination.

Admission to BTech course is based on WBJEE/ JEE Main score followed by a WBJEE Counselling. Aspirants first need to apply for BTech on the official website. Candidates who have qualified WBJEE/ JEE Main can provide their score for the selection process. Candidates who have completed Class 12 in relevant subjects with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for reserved category) are eligible to apply for the BTech course. After the completion of the selection rounds, candidates are called for document verification and counselling round. Selected candidates are required to pay the course fee to confirm their seat.

The selection for MBA course is based on MAT/ JEMAT score followed by a counselling round. Aspirants must meet the eligibility requirements to avoid rejection during the scrutiny of the applications. Candidates who have completed graduation in any discipline can apply for the MBA course. After the completion of the selection rounds, one need to proof their eligibility with supporting documents during the counselling process. After completion of the counselling, aspirants need to confirm their admission by paying the course fee.

Yes, BBA is a three year course divided into six semesters. The course, includes core papers, discipline specific electives, generic electives and skill enhancement courses. The students are required to choose one of the specialisation in the fifth semester from the following streams: Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management. BBA is offered in two specialisations, General and Hospital Management. Candidates are required to complete Class 12 to apply for the BBA course. Additionally, selection to BBA course is merit-based.
